Drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
An international driving permit is recommended but not required for most nationalities.
The driver’s license must be presented at the time of pickup.
Bookings can be made online, by phone, or via WhatsApp.
A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your reservation.
We accept cash, mobile money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money), bank transfer, and major credit/debit cards.
Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the rental start time.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Refunds (if applicable) are processed within 7 working days.
The vehicle must be used only for legal purposes and within Zanzibar unless otherwise authorized.
The renter is responsible for any fines, traffic violations, or damages incurred during the rental period.
Smoking is not allowed inside the vehicles.
All vehicles come with basic insurance and theft protection.
Additional coverage may be available at an extra cost.
In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately inform Zanzibar Rentals and the local police.
Vehicles are provided with a specific fuel level and should be returned with the same level.
Refueling charges may apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.
Free delivery/pickup is available within select areas, including Zanzibar Airport and major hotels.
Extra charges may apply for remote locations or after-hours service.
We provide 24/7 roadside assistance.
In case of a mechanical issue, Zanzibar Rentals will provide a replacement vehicle or repair support.
Watersport rentals (e.g., kayaks, jet skis) are subject to separate usage terms.
Safety gear must be used at all times.
Zanzibar Rentals is not liable for indirect losses, delays, or incidents caused by third parties, road conditions, or misuse of the vehicle.
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website.
