Zanzibar drives on the left — like the UK and Kenya. Give yourself 20 minutes in light traffic to adjust. Outside Stone Town it feels natural quickly.

All stations accept cash only — Tanzanian Shillings preferred, USD accepted at most. Fill up in Stone Town before heading north or east.
